Bienvenidos a Rosarito!

We have officially settled in to our temporary home in Rosarito, Mexico for production of Leo's next film, "Little Boy." The kids have done well with the transition and enjoy having a giant sandbox surrounded by pools for their new backyard. We had our 8 year old niece, Emily, staying with us for the 1st few weeks which was a fun addition, especially for Mina. We spent the first few days getting settled in, spending time in the sand and pool, and touring the studio. Leo has been spending all of his time at the studio, hard at work. He has been putting in over 12 hour days, so the kids mostly see him for lunch. We are close enough to the studio that he has been able to come home for bedtime most nights and go back to work after if he needs to.

The kids had a cool opportunity to visit a private zoo in Tiajuana where they got their own tour meeting monkeys, giant boa constrictors, and feeding deer. I have never been so close to wild animals like that in my life. We were there to check out some animals that they are going to need for the film so we got real VIP treatment.

The first week concluded with a visit from "Tia Robyn." We took the kids horseback riding on the beach, and over the weekend, I had an early birthday surprise with a trip to Ensenada with all of our friends here. We went to a campground there with ziplines, suspension bridges, paddle boats, and tons of water slides for the kids.

  1. Good thing no one could read that sign about it being prohibited to step on those bridges...
